Sort Your Summer – Learn to Sail at Clarks Beach!

Get out on the water, master new skills, and experience the ultimate summer adventure! Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to build real confidence on the water, our Yachting New Zealand-certified program is the perfect way to spend your weekends.

Course Highlights

• • 🗓️ When: Runs through the summer sailing season (November to April)

• ⌚Time: Sundays, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

• 👥Who: Adults & Children (Ages 9+) – all abilities welcome!

• 💰Cost: $250 for the course

• 🦺 Equipment Provided: Boats, helmets, and lifejackets supplied

• ⛵Our Fleet: Sail on our Optimist, P-Class, and RS Feva yachts

What You’ll Learn

Led by qualified Yachting New Zealand coaches and supported by our experienced club volunteers, you’ll discover the thrill of wind and water as you learn:

• ⛵Fundamental boat handling, rigging, and steering techniques

• 🌬️Wind awareness, safety principles, and water navigation

• ⚓Core maneuvers designed to make you a confident, self-reliant sailor

Upon completion, participants receive an official Yachting New Zealand Learn to Sail Certificate!

Important Details & Requirements

• 🏊Swimming Ability: For safety, all participants must be able to swim 50 meters while wearing a lifejacket (by any stroke).

• 🧢What to Wear: We supply lifejackets and helmets. We recommend participants bring a wetsuit, suitable water footwear (booties or old sneakers), a hat, and sunscreen.

• 🚨Limited Spaces: Places are capped to ensure safe student-to-coach ratios and plenty of time on the water. Early registration is strongly recommended.
